Laser-free stereovision: Position measurement with six degrees of freedom using edges, holes, and radiuses

The optical 3D robot vision stereo sensor can determine positions and measure objects in all six degrees of freedom by using edges, holes, curves or parts of the object that can be described by characteristic elements, edges, lines or polynome-like path contours. The sensor can be mounted stationary as well as on the robot arm or handling system. To achieve even higher precision, multiple sensors can be used simultaneously.
