| High-precision determination of position coordinates in six degrees of freedom | 3D Stereo systems are used for fast, high-resolution determination of position location in six degrees of freedom (6 DoF) for large or numerous parts. Depending on the application, any given number of camera pairs can be used. Due to overlapping measurement areas, all objects inside a field of view can be detected. Thus, a single sensor set can measure multiple parameters. 3D stereo systems are used wherever quality and efficiency of highly automated robot and handling systems need to be increased using fast and precise position recognition.
Technical characteristics: | | | · Fully automated calibration · Automated color adaptation at regular measurement intervals · Any given camera distance with adaptable camera set-up · Stripe light for optimal contrast and higher measurement precision at edges · Positioning outside of robot work area · Number of sensors correlated to desired measurement resolution · Automatic sharpness and contrast optimization · Automatic brightness adaptation · Robustness of system due to contour-based algorithms · Large recognition angle for edge detection · Can be used for any kind of edge coating · Any given measurement distance possible
Typical applications:
· Automotive glass installation · Assembly of parts and components · Door assembly and dismantling · Automotive glass flange masking · Car body sealing
