	Stamping Plants, Cab Shops

In stamping plants and in cab assembly shops, a variety of specialized robots are used for various tasks such as racking, un-racking, or assembly. Quality Vision and Robot Vision Machine Vision systems are often used to complete these tasks. In-Line Gauging

· Both stationary and in process with fixed or robot mounted flexible sensors for exact determination of
component geometry

Loading and unloading the stamping machines

· 2D inline position recognition of stamped parts on the line for un-racking
· 2D inspection of transport containers
· 2½D position recognition of plate racks for loading in the stamping machines

Un-racking parts

· 3D position recognition for un-racking parts for stamping from containers

Door and component assembly

· 3D position recognition for fully automated door and flap assembly or roof assembly and the assembly of other
components

Glue beads

· Inspection of adhesive application for presence, width, height and continuity during application (in process) or
after application (post process)

Gap and flush inspection

· To determine the flush and gap after assembly of mounting parts

Surface inspection

· To check for bulges and dents
