FPM-Edge uses multiple illumination channels and high-resolution cameras to inspect the edges of thin glass substrates. The sensor system scans the edges with the best image quality available on the market. It clearly and reliably classifies all typical edge defects, such as chips, cracks, shiners, burn marks, and asymmetries, guaranteeing reliable quality grading and ensuring that customers receive only flawless material.

With its 180° view of the glass edge, FPM-Edge also detects grinding deviations and provides important data for improving the grinding process.

The additional products FPM-Inspect and FPM-Review complete the inspection line with surface inspection and an automatic microscope for defect review.
