ISRA VISION strengthens its Car Paint Inspection (CPV) ecosystem with Paintscan Hybrid X EC
Automotive manufacturers are under pressure to ensure consistent paint quality while maintaining efficient production processes. Paintscan Hybrid X EC expands ISRA VISION's Hybrid X technology to e-coat applications, helping manufacturers establish a more consistent inspection approach across the paint shop.
Together with Paintscan Hybrid X for top coat inspection and Paintscan Compact for painted closure and interior areas, the solution enables the use of a common inspection environment. Unified quality data, standardized reporting and a consistent operator experience support better process transparency and informed quality decisions.
Paintscan Hybrid X EC is designed to inspect e-coated vehicle bodies and builds on ISRA VISION's established E-coat inspection capabilities. The new sensor generation combines optimized hardware with AI-based defect detection and classification.
The significantly lower weight enables higher robot speeds and reduces the hardware load. The use of more compact robots minimizes space requirements and increases flexibility when integrating inspection systems into production environments. AI-supported inspection and setup routines further simplify commissioning and model integration. By reducing manual parameterization efforts and improving classification performance, AI enables manufacturers to achieve faster ramp-up times while delivering more consistent and repeatable quality control.
