MiniPICK3D is a sensor system for the automation of sophisticated, robot-based bin picking applications, especially for the bulk separation of very small components with extremely short cycle times.

The system determines the position of randomly distributed objects at different heights and orientations. Intelligent collision avoidance enables trouble-free bin picking. Using state-of-the-art LED lighting technology, the sensor generates a high-definition 3D point cloud that enables the system to detect even the tiniest components. The automatically generated robot path allows the robot to precisely pick the components out of the container and place them in the predefined position.  Unlike with conventional separation methods, the robot can pick different components interchangeably.

Intelligent pick planning and precise component feeding into the production process ensure absolute reliability and maximum productivity at rapid cycle times.

As part of the Touch & Automate portfolio, MiniPICK3D features an intuitive user interface that can be used without any expert knowledge and allows the operator to easily analyze the system when necessary. Additionally, the intuitive user interface supports effortless configuration of new component shapes within a matter of hours.
